I feel the burn!


I have been working out a lot. There is a gym available to the employees at my office. It’s a complete gym with all the equipment and machines.
I usually work out with a coworker. Today we did a workout that kicked my butt!
It’s fast and if you’re short on time it’s perfect! Give yourself 20 minutes to stretch (before&after) and complete the workout.

Ready. Set. GO!!

RUN don’t walk 400m (.25mi)
21 push-ups
21 squats
5 pull-ups

9 push-ups

This was my first time time today and I did it in 15mins. If I can do it, YOU can do it!

It will leave you drenched it sweat and feeling the burn!

Making progress!

Long time, no post…sorry about that! πŸ˜‰

So I started to slack off a little bit but I’m right back at it!!

I really want to share this story with you guys….
A coworker of mine has been on a diet/workout plan for the past 2 months and his results are ridiculous!
For breakfast he has a protein shake (no sugar, and that’s no auger for the shake and no sugar for anything else he eats,) and for lunch and dinner he has a 6oz. chicken breast (baked,) and 1 cup of veggies. He mixes it up with the veggies great beans, broccoli..etc.
Now, for his workout routine…6 days a week (excluding Sunday,) and 3 days a week he takes a Boot Camp fitness class.

He lost 45 lbs. in just 2 MONTHS!!!!!

Needless to say, I am adopting some of this into my own diet/workout plan. I switch up the chicken for tilapia or tuna. And I have chronic migraines so diets can be tricky for me. I have a snack ready, almonds, dried cranberries or a fruit. I have to do some more shopping so I’ll probably grab more chicken, tilapia and tuna. As well as more almonds and cranberries, however I will probably add more nuts in the mix. I have Zone Perfect protein bars for snacks but I don’t use those often. Low blood sugar is a trait in my family as well so I keep a small bag of Weight Watchers candies handy in case I need a quick sugar fix, or in case I have the craving for some chocolate but I don’t want to ruin my diet for the day πŸ˜‰

I am working out just about everyday, sometimes twice a day. Only if I manage to get out of bed in time πŸ˜‰

Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on this particular diet?

A case of the Mondays

Mondays are usually busy for me. I missed my morning run his morning but I knew I would make up for it after work. We have a gym at work and I planned on going to workout with some coworkers after work, but I got stuck at work until 8! That left me with enough time I get home get something quick to eat and straight to bed. Well, blog, then bed. πŸ˜›

Even though I didn’t get to work out today, I made good decisions with my eating πŸ™‚

And I plan on making up for it tomorrow too! Off to bed, so I can get an early start tomorrow!

Weekend planning

I had a very successfully weekend. Although on Saturday I did not stick to eating clean 😦 I made up for it today with my eating and my meal plan for the next 2 weeks.

I will post my grocery list and everything I spent and where when I have the chance. I bought lots of fruits and veggies and I can’t wait to cook everything this week!

I bought some whey protein powder (vanilla creme) and I made a protein fruit smoothie this morning, it was delicious!
-6 or 7 ice cubes
-10 frozen strawberries
-half scoop of whey protein powder (30g protein)
-1/4 -1/2 cup water
-a few splashes of açai berry juice

It was so yummy!

Looking forward to my 1 week marker on Wednesday!

I have the hardest time getting out of bed in the morning. I completely missed the chance to work out this morning 😦 But, I’ve found some tips. There’s a recipe for protein balls that are bite sized and perfect for a quick pick-me-up!

So for breakfast I actually ate today. I had a small bowl of oatmeal with a sprinkle of brown sugar, a few sprinkles of cinnamon, sliced almonds and dried cranberries. yummm!!! …and of course coffee.

For lunch I had a veggie wrap and it was so delicious! I might have to make that a regular thing. I had a spinach wrap with lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, pickles, banana peppers, jalapeΓ±os and onions. I also had pepper jack cheese and some avocado ranch in it but I think it would have been just as good without the cheese and ranch. Also had some hummus pop chops that were yummy too.


Chicken for dinner, nothing special about it! Hahaha πŸ˜›

My legs and upper body have been so sore all day so I decided to do strictly abs tonight and some yoga. So I can really stretch all my tights muscles from previous workouts.

I’m feeling great, and loving eating clean!!

I’m getting there…

What a long day!! I am exhausted! I almost decided to go to bed but I really wanted to post about today πŸ™‚

So this morning was pretty tough to get out of bed, I didn’t leave myself with enough time for a run. BUT, I did do a few quick workouts at home, thanks to Pinterest! If you do not have a Pinterest account or do not know what Pinterest is, go to Pinterestand take a peak around. It is guaranteed to have something for everyone. There are always posts about fitness and tips and tricks as well as food, fashion etc….
I started with the Brazilian Butt Workout I found on Pinterest. It’s actually another blog from this site @thehautebunny. I will reblog it as well. WOW! I could feel the burn the whole time!!! Can’t wait to see the long term results of that workout!
After this one, I did Dr. Oz’s 7-Day Belly Workout which I thought was pretty good. It’s simple, so I did all 7 days instead of hit Thursday’s workout.

For breakfast today again, coffee. Still working on become a breakfast person…

For lunch I had leftovers from dinner last night, tilapia and steamed broccoli.

For a snack I had raw unsalted almonds. It is definitely one of my favorite snacks. I really love the Archer Farms brand from Target, they have a ton of different nuts and trail mixes, as well as dried fruit. My favorite mix is the raw almond, raw cashew and dried cranberry one, its SO yummy and addicting!

For dinner I had a veggie sandwich, I was in a rush. And I’m still working on that meal plan πŸ˜‰

I did my second workout at the gym with a friend tonight. I did 10 mins on the elliptical, reps of 15 on a few upper body machines (sets of 3), reps of 15 on the leg lift and the leg press machines (sets of 3), and same with weighted crunches.

Woooo I am feelin it!!

I’m starting to fall asleep on you guys… 😦
